Appeal in solidarity of Artas village

Since a few days, the villagers of Artas have organised a protest against the threat of confiscation of their lands and the destruction of trees by Israeli authorities. The alleged plan is to pour sewage from the nearby settlements into the beautiful valley of Artas where are located many agricultural lands from which the villagers depend on.

Yesterday a electric generator surrounded by fences has been built and it is expected that the bulldozer will come to destroy the trees in the following days.

A group of villagers have decided to stand against these new facts of the ground and land grabbing. They stay 24 hours on their land and have set up tents. Artas is an amazingly beautiful village whose landscape is being destroyed.

Please join them in their struggle.
